This beautiful collaborative piece was created by the third grade class and features a macramé wall hanging adorned with handmade leaves in white, blue, and shades of brown.
In third grade, Waldorf students study fibers and the traditional processes of shearing, cleaning, dyeing, spinning, and weaving to connect practically with the world, fostering independence and understanding of human craftsmanship during the "nine-year change". This experiential, hands-on block transforms abstract knowledge into tangible experience, deepening respect for materials while grounding students in practical, productive work.
