This is a test auction for the admin team to get used to the new auction software.
Terms and Conditions In order to participate in bidding, each attendee must agree to the rules and regulations presented before the event. By completing your registration for the event, you are stating that you do agree.
Swallowtail Waldorf School and Farm reserves the right to add or withdraw auction items, without notice, to or from the organization.
A valid bid is considered made by clicking on the desired item, typing in a valid bid that adheres to the increment guidelines, and pressing ‘Bid Now.’
Automated notifications are sent by our auction software when the online auction opens and 20 minutes before auction closes. It is the bidders responsibility to be sure notifications are enabled on their devices,
The closing time of each section of the auction is stated on the website. Additional bids will not be accepted or valid after the silent auction item has been declared as “closed.”
The highest qualifying bid (i.e., a bid which complies with these auction rules) at the closing time is the winning bid.
Once the silent auction item is declared “closed,” the winner will be notified on their smartphone and will be instructed to collect their winnings.
A credit card must be placed on file before placing bids. A request for checkout will be sent to each bidder when the online auction closes. Payments for items purchased must be made in full either on line or by check in the school office by 5pm on Monday May 18th, All purchases must be paid in full before pick up.
Following your payment, items may be picked up at Swallowtail Waldorf School and Farm from Monday May 17th through Tuesday May 18th at 5pm. You must show your payment confirmation and photo ID if the silent auction item requires you to do so.
Any item left unclaimed after May 20th, without prior arrangements, will become property of the organization, even if the bidder has paid for the item. The item will be sold or used for further fundraising efforts, and proceeds will go to Swallowtail Waldorf School and Farm.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be permitted. No item is redeemable for cash. You are responsible for the safety and security of the item(s) once you have claimed them.
Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Swallowtail Waldorf School and Farm, employees, the auctioneers, the Board of Trustees, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.
Some items are subject to limitations/restrictions listed in the catalogue and/or on the gift certificates. Hotel, theatre, and restaurant items are subject to space availability and may be subject to “blackout” dates.
For auction items which are services to be performed or items to be ordered, it is the responsibility of the buyer to make arrangements directly with the donor as indicated.
The auction item value listed is an estimate of Fair Market Value (FMV). Items have not been appraised.
Swallowtail Waldorf School and Farm is a 501(c)(3) organization. Any bid over the value of the item is considered a donation and may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify amount of deduction.
