Dragonfly Kindergarten Class Project – God’s Eye Weavings Image
The Dragonfly Kindergarten created a collection of vibrant God’s Eye weavings that hang beautifully together as one striking display. As the children worked, Ms. Jeannie shared stories inspired by The Journey of Tunuri and the Blue Deer, a modern adaptation of a traditional Huichol story depicting a young child finding his personal task in life by connecting with the powers of nature.

The God’s Eye, or Ojo de Dios (known as Sikuli in the Wixárika language), is a traditional art form of the Wixárika (Huichol) people of Mexico. Made by weaving brightly colored yarn around crossed sticks, it symbolizes protection, insight, and prayers for health and well-being for children.

This collaborative piece honors that tradition while reflecting the care, focus, and imagination of the Dragonfly Kindergarten. Ready to hang, it brings color, story, and meaning into any space.
